The thesis project critiques and investigates the intricate waterways and canal systems in the Lower Lea Valley. The project responds to two main issues; the increasing number of boats using the canals under the 'continuous cruiser' license - due to the increasing movement to live on the water....

 

 Thesis is to bring back to use the waterways for recreation and connection. This will involve a series of activity interventions along the waterways connected by the means of boat travel. The activity areas exploit the vacant voids left behind from the industrial past, some of which are not easily accessible by land. The scheme will utilise the Olympic Park as hub for regeneration.... 

 

 

The project aims to be used as a redevelopment tool for the Dharavi Slum in Mumbai in association with the plastic recycling industry, re-establishing Dharavi’s position within the city of Mumbai.  The slum is currently seen as a segregated and deprived area of the city that needs redevelopment....

 

Harvesting Mumbai, is a proposal to harness Mumbai’s monsoon rains and the greywater from existing buildings in Cuffe Parade and Colaba to provide the water for a filtration system, urban farm, community market, education facility and cleaning facilities. It creates a new common area uniting the gentry and poor who live side by side in the southern tip of Mumbai...

 

The design project looks at the use of water as an infrastructural tool to navigate through the compact streets of Colaba, situated at the Southern tip of Mumbai. It explores the creation of a new route of water flowing and connecting between the East, Sassoon Dock and the West, Back Bay, Coast lines. This route is designed with two new infrastructures running in Parallel, one a proposed new canal system...
